Calling all catechists. Do you want to know your Catholic faith better and be able to hand it on more effectively? The Serra Catechetical Institute (SCI): Includes 60 hours of formation in spiritual development, doctrine, catechetical process and methodology, and meets the formation requirements for the basic California Catechist Certificate. Cost of one year of formation is $195, including books and instruction. Master Catechist Program

The Diocese of Oakland is pleased to announce the promulgation of new Master Catechist Guidelines, as well as the opening of our new Master Catechist program.
The mission of the Master Catechist Program is to prepare catechist instructors who will bring the love of the Person, teachings, and mission of Jesus Christ and his Church to all with a joy that radiates from a true disciple. Cost of one year of formation is $550, including books and instruction.
