Update on CRS Efforts in Japan

Dear Diocesan Directors and CRS Partners:
Thank you for your generous support for the people of Japan following the earthquake and resulting tsunami which struck northÂ]eastern Japan on March 11th this year. I want to share with you the latest news on how CRS is supporting Caritas Japan to help the Japanese people recover and reconstruct their communities.
As you know, millions of households were affected, with over 370,000 houses and other buildings destroyed. The government of Japan responded effectively to immediate needs, but some gaps still exist which Caritas Japan is filling. Continue
